Amy Bofman

Amy began her real estate career at age 23 after working as a crisis intervention counselor. She knew helping people was her passion, and wanted to work in a more entrepreneurial field. What could be more important than helping people find a house? Amy couldn’t stop thinking about how the home-buying process often felt very stressful so she honed her skills and developed systems that would essentially eliminate the stress, and make the home-buying process quite enjoyable and fun for her clients.
Over the next 30 years, Amy flourished as one of the top 1% producers at a large national company, successfully owned and operated her own boutique real estate firm, acted as the assistant manager at one of the largest national real estate firms, and ultimately found her forever home at Compass in 2017.
In 2022, Karla Dorsey invited Amy to join her team of top producers in Tampa Bay. The synergy between Amy and the KD Team made this an easy decision. The Karla Dorsey Team is one of the top Compass teams in the area that is deeply rooted on both sides of Tampa Bay offering the local knowledge and expertise needed in today's real estate experience.
Amy strongly emphasizes educating her clients and sets the learning process in motion long before the first home tour or listing appointment. She continues to educate her clients throughout each transaction so buyers and sellers feel empowered to make their best business decisions.
In her spare time, you will find Amy spending time with her 7 grandkids, six boys and one lucky girl, volunteering and participating in organizations supporting children with Autism, keeping up in her Morgan Horse world, or just relaxing at home with a good book.

Alexa Rocha
Alexa Rocha, our Chief of Staff, has over 15 years of experience working in the customer service industry. There is nothing Alexa enjoys more than helping others through her work.
Born in Key West, Florida, Alexa is the epitome of a Florida girl. Alexa has planted roots in Tampa, with her husband Daniel, who is a Firefighter for the City of Tampa, her two children Raleigh and Rory, and their chocolate lab Doak.
Prior to settling down in Tampa, Alexa worked for years at a family-owned car dealership in Tallahassee while attending night school to complete her Associate's Degree at Tallahassee Community College. During this time, the “Great Recession” hit, and Alexa witnessed how quickly lives can change. In this difficult time, she was reminded of the importance and power of community. That when you have a strong and supportive network of people around you, you can find a way to overcome challenges and begin again.
Alexa and her husband share a love for Tampa and are enthusiastic members of the community who appreciate all that Tampa has to offer. In the last two years, Alexa and her husband have fallen in love with renovating and restoring homes in the Tampa area. This newfound passion has led Alexa to start her journey to becoming a licensed Real Estate Agent.

Having started her career in residential real estate in 2020, she prides herself as a trusted advisor who prioritizes white-glove service and ensures every aspect of a transaction is handled with precision and care.

Laura’s approach aligns with The Karla Dorsey Team’s values, and focuses on being transparent, informative, and personable, with an emphasis on building genuine connections with her clients. As a strong negotiator, Laura is dedicated to ensuring her clients not only find the perfect property, but also feel empowered with the knowledge and resources to secure the best possible outcomes.
Returning to her roots as a native Floridian, Laura's passion for real estate was inspired by her father, a real estate developer who played a role in shaping the Tampa Bay Area. Now settled in the Riverside Heights neighborhood of Tampa, Laura in her free time enjoys spending time with her husband Denis, taking spin classes, and discovering the latest dining and cultural offerings the vibrant area has to offer.
